Daily maintenance of chain hoists mainly covers inspection of chains, sprockets, lifting hooks and braking systems.
1.Check the lifting chain for twisting, kinking, elongation, cracks, rust or obvious wear.
2.Make sure the chain runs smoothly inside sprockets and chain guides without jamming, jumping out of position or dislocation.
3.Inspect the chain storage bag for damage or accumulated blockages to prevent failure in chain retraction.
4.Apply proper lubrication to chains and other lubricable transmission components. Keep parts clean to stop grease from attracting excessive dust.
5.Check whether hooks are deformed and confirm the hook safety latch closes properly.
6.Run no-load lifting and lowering tests. Watch out for abnormal noise, shaking, brake slipping or unintended hook dropping.
7.Verify normal function of control buttons, emergency stop, upper/lower limit switches and cables.
If chain deformation, chain jamming, brake faults or limit failure are found, cease operation immediately for inspection and repair.
